This is a brand new comic book web comic that came out on September first 2013. I just trotted on over there to go take a look and see what it is about. It is short, they have just gotten started, but it looks interesting, not a lot of words, a lot of art, and a lot of getting exploded in an airplane to get started. So not too bad a start, and seems to fit in with the idea of the story line. Bringing someone home, sometimes though there is no going back and there is no going home. So if you are sleeping in a plane when the stupid thing explodes you can pretty much so figure out that things are going to get to be interesting from here on in.
Go check it out; the art is beautiful, rich with some wonderful textures to it. Getting started there is almost no dialogue, but I am sure that is coming down the road. We hit panel four with the first words spoken as the plane erupts into flames. Signaling that someone is going to have a very bad day, and really with the story line there are three ways to go about it here, god, satan, or limbo, with some odd chance or willingness to sacrifice to redeem the character. Or it could be all just a dream sequence, not sure yet, that is what is going to make this an interesting cliff hanger.
It looks like it will be interesting to see where it goes from here. The web site is sparse, there is almost nothing here but the four panels, so as they get moving, it will be good to see a lot more content, and a lot more conversation around the comic book idea. There is always something interesting about watching the creative process take off, Failed Oasis is going to be one of those comic books I think.
