It has been a while for Comics Forge
As you know, it looks like we took a seriously long break with Comics Forge and that was unpleasant. So here is what happened.
We had to let all the authors go, we simply are not selling enough independent comic books to offset the costs of running this place. We tried to do this through a ProStores account, but you know we moved over to eBay, so you can find our store chalk full of independent comic book goodness right over here. If you want to keep us as a resource – you have to help us help ourselves, it is great to read about what we think of independents, but you have to buy them as well, if not from us, from the artists, or from their direct supplier.
Seriously we want to survive along the way as well, and we think we bring an independent voice into comic books that you simply won’t find at the big box web sites.
We work only on Google Ads, Amazon Affiliates, and of course our own store, one way or the other we need to make enough money to keep this puppy afloat.
The good part is that you can help, with over 6000 people a month still hitting this site, and a facebook reach of somewhere on the order of 1000 people a week taking a look at even our non-updated site you obviously think this place is awesome. Now we need you to help us out as well.
I almost wish we could do a PayPal donation pool, and that might be next so I can bring back our awesome writers, our awesome viewpoints, and keep you up to speed on what is going to happen around the USA and beyond with our weird way of looking at things and doing things. Who knows, we might hit 14,000 page views a month again.
So we are back, limited, one person operation for now, but when we stabilize at every 200 dollar level, I can afford to bring back a writer. We are back on track with supporting KBTC, back on track with all the other things we do, now we just need you to love this site again, help us out, share the love, and share what you like, loath or desire to know about independent comics.
Thank you all while we were on hiatus, but coming back is equally as sweet, down but not out, and thank you for all the support over the last two years, let’s make our third year even more awesome than the first two.
