Honestly, when we get behind a program we stick with it for a very long time, and KBTC’s ability to keep Classic Doctor Who on the air every Saturday night at 7PM has been a staple of TV viewing for me since I moved to Seattle in 1984. KBTC is the only surviving public television station in the USA that continues to have the wide range support of the Seattle Tacoma area to help keep the old Doctor alive and well. Over the years we have personally raised almost 15,000 dollars for the show, which equates out to about six months of keeping the show on the air.

It costs 30,000 dollars a year to keep the show going, and KBTC breaks this up into two pledge a thons every six months. This summer’s pledge a thon promises to be awesome because this time the sixth doctor is up for grabs, the Vengeance of Varos and the Mark of the Rani so we have some Peri action figures, the sixth doctor, tardis’s and a ton of other cool stuff including custom Doctor Who jewelry from Optimsytical Studios in Montana.

You can pledge online at any time for this and be eligible for the toys and prizes, so click here if you want to check it out.

Here is just a small selection of stuff we are bringing, so make sure you take the time out and pledge to help keep this TV show alive and on the air and on Public Television.
