I never in a million years imagined myself opening an issue with a title as shady as this. Yet, I couldn’t help but wonder what could possibly be held within these pages – then I saw it. A man who acts as a hero for babies who will be circumcised without their consent. Oh boy.
The person preforming these operations, of course, is Dr. Mutilator, a demonic looking madman with a knife who is out to destroy men one circumcision at a time. Thank heavens, Foreskin Man arrives in time to stop the monster in his tracks, saving little Orlando from the misery that is a circumcised penis.
I understand that in some places this is a serious issue that people literally hate each other over, I can also understand why. But this ode to anti-penis-cutters is a bit much. Why is it that every time people disagree on something the opposing side is suddenly the devil in disguise? Can’t there just simply be two sides, both with overwhelming proofs of point? Appearances of biased tales such as this on the internet only promote lack of personal thought and opinion by showing that it is somehow okay to put personal attacks on those who oppose your opinions. Post an oddly titled comic on the web for free and just about anyone will see it and unfortunately for my time, one of those people is me.
If you take this for what it is, a joke, it isn’t the worst read. You can get a few laughs from it’s heroic take on the issue and as far as I can tell, having a good laugh has never hurt anyone.
Foreskin Man isn’t a comic I would recommend to anyone, really. But if you like obscure comics with insane ideas, the equivalent of low budget horror fans shall we say, then this may be your dream come true. Otherwise, stay away from this cheap attempt at activism in comics. There are much better ways to spend your time.
1/5. Meh.
