This is the second installment of the comic book series Disdain the rise of Humanity Corporation, and while it really does not pick up where the other one left off, I did at least get to meet one of the people who was used as a model in the comic book, Annie Violet. She is an interesting cosplay model, with some decidedly not safe for work (NSFW) if you click on the link images in her gallery. The cosplay rocks and this is the first time I have met the inspiration for a comic book character.
This comic is in black and white with very good grey tones, with a different artist but the same production team and the same publisher. The story gets more in-depth in this issue, with more about the evil of Humanity Corporation. There are fewer space aliens, and a lot more death violence ruin, and some fairly awesome ninja kung fu scenes. This is a much more detailed and better written comic than issue one. The story line has some awesome potential, and starts living up to it in this issue.
The story line follows the same idea of revenge, buckets of blood, and other bits flying around the comic panels. If you are into horror comics, this is probably the issue you want to get, issue one is still good, but Issue two is where it starts getting interesting and much more enjoyable. I think that the new artist really starts making the story much more interesting, and without the color, the story becomes much more engaging. You want to follow the story line rather than trying to dig words out of a blood splattered background, you get the opportunity to follow the story line better in this issue.
I am going to rate this one 5 of 5 stars, much better organized, easier to read, better artist, and looks like much more effort went into this one from the idea of actually making a comic book. The black and white interior works superbly here, and having an actual cosplay model (remember NSFW) as a body model for the series paid off big time making this a much more awesome comic book to read. You should probably start here, then go back and get issue one. You can see the full preview on Glam Comics by clicking right here.
