Giant robot rampaging through a library trying to find a bunch of kids? This is more my style, because I love giant robots, and smart kids, who are doing everything they can do to find the prize, and not get captured by the giant robot. This is a very short story, with a lot of additional art and other fun stuff that comes with the comic book. Although why the kids would want to get to the new book to (Spoiler) rip a page from it and taste fresh paper, is anyone’s best guess. The interesting part is that the comic provides you with a page of paper you should rip out of the comic book to emulate what the kids are doing. This looks like an initial script into something that could be further developed with some interesting implications. Having the robot blow up because of a child’s view of logic is interesting, especially for a librarian robot.
I liked this one a lot because you can have some fun with it, the story line is more like the beginning of the plot that you can let your kids lose with to develop their own story. Bed time reading or story time, you bet this would be a great way to help kids get their imagination charged thinking of reasons why the kids would have snuck into a library just to rip and eat a page out of a new book. This book has some serious potential if the story line is further developed and a world is created around it. If you have kids, this is an interesting comic book for them.
Overall very pleased with this comic, again it is very short, with some story line and story boards, simple character development drawings, everything someone would need to go play in the six page start that the authors have given us to go play with. Unpretentious, simple, elegant, and enjoyable because it feels like a work you can go play with. Very much so a five of five star comic book, the potential of the story is huge, now to see if the authors will develop it further. If not, that is what others are for, if you can get the approvals to work in their universe.
