I love the BBC today – they have released an interactive comic book for Doctor Who called Defending Bannerman Road, and anyone world wide can get to it. Ok maybe not world wide, but I can follow the comic from America which is totally better than what it has been like on the BBC site for Doctor who with the “not available in your area” notices.
They are also having a 5 day Dalek clip fest on the site that I was able to get to from America as well.
The comic book is very cool, it is a flash comic so it won’t play on anything IOS like your Ipad or your Ipod, but it does play well on Windows and Apple MAC computers today. It is a fun comic book with some awesome roll overs and sounds, voice overs, sound effects, and the whole bit that makes comic books like this fun. Of course it would be cooler if it was in HTML 5, but then you can’t have everything and sorry in advance to all you Ipad/Iphone/Ipod people out there, you are going to have to use something else to watch this content.
Very cool, good comic to watch and have some fun with. The best 30 minutes of your day shot down the tubes, but all in a good cause.
